WeighdayThis Privacy Policy explains how Sprezza LLC ("Sprezza," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Weighday mobile application (the "App") on iOS and Android. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address and a password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form). You may also choose to provide a display name.
Health and fitness data you enter
The core purpose of the App is to record the weigh-ins and goals you choose to log. This includes your body weight entries, dates and times of entries, target weight, and any related notes you add. You decide what to enter.
Device and usage data
To keep the App reliable and improve it, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, general usage events (e.g., features used), and crash and diagnostic logs.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the App's core features — recording your weigh-ins, calculating trends, and tracking goals.
- To create and secure your account and sync your data across your devices.
- To send optional reminders or service-related messages you've enabled.
- To diagnose problems, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
- To show and measure ads that keep the App free, and to support any purchases you make.
- To respond to your support requests, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our Terms.
3. Cloud storage and sync
Your account and weigh-in data are stored on secure cloud servers operated by us or our hosting providers so that your information is backed up and available across your devices. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
4. Analytics and crash reporting
We use third-party analytics and crash-reporting services to understand how the App is used and to detect and fix problems. These providers process limited device and usage data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes beyond providing their service to us.
5. Advertising
Weighday is free and shows ads provided by third-party advertising networks (for example, Google AdMob). To deliver and measure ads, these partners may automatically collect information such as a device advertising identifier, IP address, general (approximate) location, device and operating-system details, and ad-interaction data. Some ads may be personalized based on this data.
We do not use your account, weigh-ins, goals, or any other health data to serve or target ads, and we do not share that health information with advertising partners.
On iOS, the App may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any cross-app tracking occurs; if you decline, advertising partners will not use the device's advertising identifier to track you across apps. On Android and iOS, you can reset or limit your advertising identifier and ad personalization in your device settings. 6. In-app purchases
Weighday may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions (for example, to remove ads or unlock features). Purchases are processed by Apple or Google through their app stores under their terms and billed to your store account. We do not receive or store your payment card details; the store may share limited transaction information with us to deliver and support your purchase.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who help us run the App (cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting), under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing services to us.
- Advertising partners. The third-party ad networks described above receive the device and usage data needed to serve ads — never your health or weigh-in data.
- App stores. Apple or Google, to process any purchases.
- Legal reasons. When required to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Sprezza.
- Business transfers. If Sprezza is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
8. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and hashed password storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data retention
We keep your account and weigh-in data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
10. Your rights and choices
- Access and update. View and edit your weigh-ins, goals, and profile inside the App at any time.
- Export. Request a copy of your data.
- Delete your account. Permanently delete your account and associated data from within the App or by emailing us.
- Ads & tracking. Decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt (iOS), and reset or limit your advertising identifier and ad personalization in your device settings.
- Reminders. Turn notifications on or off in the App or in your device settings.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact legal@sprezza.io.
11. Children's privacy
Weighday is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International users
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
